Low Voltage DC (safe) Stainless steel Snow Plough built for GRS Snow Park, Mysuru. Similar to Power tiller used by farmers, but made entirely from Food grade Steel (SS-304) and completely safe to operate in icy/watery environment.

Background

GRS Snow Park is one of the coolest attractions in Mysuru, to cool off during a hot summer day! This Snow park is run by GRS Group. It is a world class attraction built to very high standards in Mysuru city.

The soft and fluffy snow generated by Snow generator, gets compacted as people walk on the snow. Due to compaction, snow starts to turn into ice losing its fluff. If the snow loses its fluff, snow park will not be fun! So, daily the snow is ploughed using this Low voltage DC operated Power Tiller.

If a farming/conventional fuel based power tiller is used, it will leave fumes inside the closed environment and pollute the air quality inside. So this led for this product/innovation to be created by GRS and Ideas Unlimited. This Low voltage DC powered Power tiller, generates no fumes inside nor blackens the snow so that the snow regains its fluff.

Product and Technology Description

Low voltage DC operation ensures that there is no risk of electrocution due to the watery/icy environment even if the power supply is shorted unintentionally. This entire system was designed, engineered and developed in our lab and fabricated using SS-304 (Food grade steel alloy), which doesnt rust easily under sub zero temperatures like other ferrous materials!

At the tiller's heart is a 1 kilowatt BLDC motor (indestructible) along with a powerful high torque gearbox that can survive the uneven loads faced. The BLDC ensures fail safe operation of the motor even under irregular loads and changing of speeds continuously. The system is powered using a 48V DC supply (low voltage DC) and so safe to use in wet, icy and watery environment of the Snow park. The motor speed can be controlled and also its direction can be reversed if needed by the operator.
