UV-C Appliance Safe Operation Timer
This was designed as a proof of concept of a chip based embedded web server for replacing a PC based server currently being used for home automation.

Background

This ultra light-weight embedded Web server was developed using an Open Source TCP/IP stack running on a 8-bit Microcontroller for home automation applications, like switching on lights and other domestic appliance remotely from a mobile phone or PC/monitoring the appliances state.

The trigger for this development was the need of a customer for low cost remote monitoring of parameters in an industrial setup.

Video demo of the working of Embedded Web Server

Embedded Web Server Hardware at work
The Embedded Web Server is implemented on a generic off-the-shelf Embedded Ethernet Development kit, using freely available TCP/IP stack and HTTP server open source software. The software has been adapted for the specific purpose of Home automation in this demo. We also utilizing it for industrial automation applications.
