Solar Cell Working Animated exhibit
Simple Solar Cell graphic poster, that lights up and animates to explain how a solar cell works! Built by an apprentice in our lab!

Background

This is an animated display run by a small microprocessor with embedded software written to control the exhibit. When a visitor presses button of this exhibit, it shows the Solar Cell's power generation in the chart by visually lighting up lights in a sequential manner which explains the science behind the solar cell.

This project was built by an apprentice in our lab with our support.

This project was developed for an NGO which is into building Scientific Exhibitions, Museums and upgrade Science Demonstration infrastructure in schools called Deenabandhu. As part of an Energy themed Science Museum they were setting up this exhibit was developed by Ideas Unlimited, Mysuru.

Deenabandhu is a charitable Non-Profit Organization located in Chamarajnagar. Deenabandhu works towards the education and rehabilitation of orphan, destitute and estranged children. The trust is also into Science, innovation and teaching Science to school children and other activities.

The finished product had a beautifully designed printed mask which explained parts of the Solar cell in both Kannada and English, on which the lights display the working in animated manner.

Finally it was installed on wall at the Energy Museum, with a button for the visitors to Press.
